More About The Metropolitan Cathedral

The Metropolitan Cathedral is one of two cathedrals in Liverpool. Locally named as “Paddys Wigwam”, it is a Grade II* listed building.
The building took five years to build, and was completed in 1967.
The Metropolitan Cathedral was designed by Sir Frederick Gibberd.
The organ of the cathedral was finished only 2 days before the opening, and is a real feature of the building, having 4565 pipes.
